    Ashton Simpson

Ashton Simpson, age 11 of Oshkosh, went to his heavenly home on April 15, 2021 at Children's Hospital in Milwaukee. He was born to Lucas and Aimee Simpson on July 14, 2009. Ashton enjoyed spending time outdoors while camping, fishing, hunting, running, and playing golf. He also enjoyed karate and earned his first-degree adult black belt on April 10, 2021. Ashton was inquisitive in nature and often was found making a variety of projects in the garage. Ashton did not waste a second in his short 11 years on this earth. He was always in motion, full of questions, and living life to the fullest. Ashton was the most loving and selfless child. His compassion was unmatched and he was always willing to help others.

Ashton woke up every morning with high energy and ready to start his day. His parents used to have him run laps outside while waiting for the school bus. He started running casually with his mother, Aimee Simpson, during the COVID-19 shutdown in the spring of 2020. Ashton started the pdsFUSION Kids Crew in the fall of 2020. Ashton had a natural talent for running, but Stephanie Pereira da Silva's running program gave him the curriculum that he needed which focused on running basics, nutrition, and self-esteem.

Ashton's family continues to support pdsFUSION as a way to remember Ashton and honor him through movement. His mother, Aimee Simpson, continues to run as a running buddy for the pdsFUSION Kids Crew to inspire movement for the next generation. His father, Lucas Simpson, serves on the Advisory Committee for the pdsFUSION nonprofit. Ashton's sister, Mia, is a swimmer and participates in the pdsFUSION Kids Triathlon and will participate in the Oshkosh Summer Fun Runs too. Most importantly , his family keeps Ashton's memory alive and loves others compassionately just as Ashton would want them to do.
